Join sweetgreen and Almila Kakinc-Dodd, author of The Thirlby: A Field Guide to a Vibrant Mind, Body, & Soul, in celebration of her newly published book. The Thirlby offers precise, easily attainable advice on natural health, spiritual living, and nourishment. Almila will lead an interactive discussion on how to re-define wellness to be accessible and easeful + demo an easy recipe you can recreate at home. Books will be available for purchase and signing thanks to our partner, Solid State Books. Tickets are $5 with all proceeds going to Raices, a non-profit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees in Texas – a cause near and dear to Almila.
Almila is an Integrative Health practitioner trained at Duke University as well as author of The Thirlby. Before launching her book, Almila worked in the Public Health field with various organizations including the Environmental Working Group (EWG). She lives in the Washington, D.C. Metro area + works with clients both in-person & online worldwide with her Integrative Health practice.
